Attukal Pongala is a world famous Hindu festival celebrated at Attukal Devi Temple, in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. The annual Attukal Pongala Mahotsavam is celebrated during the Malayalam month of Makaram – Kumbham (February - March). In 2010, the date of Attukal Pongala is on 28th February 2010 – Sunday.
Attukal Devi Temple is also known as "Sabarimala of Women". Attukal Pongala is an exclusive women’s festival and has entered the Guinness Book of World Records for being the World’s largest religious gathering of women.
